Lotus Yoga Pose

Lotus Yoga Pose requires crossing the legs while maintaining a straight back. This posture is usually done in meditation and concentration.

Benefits

1. Calms the brain and prepares your position for meditation.

2. Stimulates the pelvis, spine, abdomen, and bladder.

3. Stretches the ankles and knees.

4. Eases menstrual discomfort and sciatica.

5. Padmasana is believed that it destroys all disease and awakens kundalini.

Instructions

1. Sit on the floor with your feet straight forward. Then bend your knees, hold your left foot with your right hand and put it on your right tight. Do the same for your right foot. Place your right hand on your right knee and your left hand on your left knee with both palms facing up in jnana mudra. (the thumbs and first fingers touching).
