Revolved Triangle Pose (Parivrtta Trikonasana)
Revolved Triangle Pose is usually performed after Trikonasana pose. In this pose, your spine is in extension as well as rotation.
Benefits
1.Strengthens and stretches the legs.
2. Stretches the hips and spine.
3. Opens the chest to improve breathing.
4. Stimulates the abdominal organs.
5. Improves sense of balance.
Instructions
1. Stand in Yoga Mountain Pose. Then step your left leg back around 3 feet. The left foot turn slightly to the left. Inhale and raise your arms parallel to the floor.
2. Exhale and twist you upper body to the right. Place the left palm on the floor beside the outer side of the front foot. Raise the right palm to the ceiling.
Try to stretch the raised arm and open the chest and shoulder as much as possible. Look at the ceiling. For those whose palm cannot touch the floor may hold the front leg or use yoga block instead.
